Welcome to The Carey School

Welcome to our website. While the best way to know what we do at The Carey School is to spend time on our campus, the information contained here is intended to be useful in understanding certain aspects of our program. We have attempted here to capture parts of our campus life through videos, photos, and texts and to provide clear navigation to the array and richness of our programs.

Our philosophy is to unify the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical dimensions of our students to enable them to learn in the most contemporary ways. Guided by a faculty that is informed by current research, we know that our students learn best by doing and we place a strong emphasis on developing their natural curiosity with the aim of graduating confident and joyful learners. Alumni parents and students as well as middle school educators tell us that Carey has done a stellar job of producing students who thrive at their next school in and out of the classroom.

We encourage traits such as risk-taking, resilience, and creativity and partner with families who prize the same. In our aspiration to be a diverse and inclusive community of families and educators, we are fortunate to have a long tradition of such partnerships.
