Barney Desroches enjoys teaching technology at The Carey School, and has been the Technology Coordinator since 2004.  He has over ten years experience teaching technology in Bay Area independent and public schools.  Prior to this, he worked under a NASA grant for two years at University of California Berkeley’s Space Sciences Lab developing web-based educational resources for K-12 science teachers. Barney is a graduate of San Francisco State University with an MA in Museum Studies.  His passion is teaching children.  “I’m excited to teach students to use technology in innovative ways that will spark their love of learning, empower their academic success, and enhance their future careers.”

Barney enjoys living in San Mateo with his wife.  His interests include cooking, archery, camping and traveling.
