Helen is continuing her 11th year of teaching at the Carey School. She has enjoyed being actively involved in her daughter’s school, Meadow Heights Elementary, including chairing many of their school committees and serving as VP to their PTA.

Helen’s most memorable adventure was a five month journey through Europe and Asia. As part of that adventure, she taught preschool at Lok Wah’s Children Center in Hong Kong. Helen’s students had the unique opportunity of communicating with the Carey School preschoolers through letters and artwork.

Helen’s passion for working with children continues through Kids & Art, a nonprofit organization where she shares her artistic talents by working with children with lymphoma and leukemia.

In addition to teaching at the Carey School, and volunteer work, Helen enjoys spending time with her family, biking, camping and traveling.
