Linda teaches our third, fourth and fifth grade Spanish classes and is excited to be beginning her fourth year here at the Carey School.  In 1994 Linda received her B.A. from UC Davis in Comparative Literature with a minor in Spanish. During her undergraduate studies Linda had the opportunity to live in Madrid, Spain and attended courses through the Institute of European Studies at the University of Madrid.  She received her Multiple Subject Bilingual (BCLAD) credential and Single Subject Spanish teaching credential from UC Davis in 1995.  Linda spent the first 7 years of her teaching career in public school in Redwood City where she taught first and third grades in a bilingual program.  Linda then moved on to a new challenge at Fiesta Gardens International School in San Mateo where she taught for 3 years in first grade in the Dual Immersion program.  After a move brought her family to the East Bay, Linda taught for 3 years at Pleasanton Middle School where she taught Spanish and Dual Immersion Spanish Language Arts. Linda loves the Spanish language and enjoys celebrating Spanish language and culture with her students. Linda enjoys bringing games, music, plays, and activities to her classes to help the language come alive. Linda lives with her husband and three daughters in San Carlos.
