Raymond Difley joined The Carey School Faculty in 2002. Prior to that time, he completed six years of full-time classroom teaching in grades 2-5 in San Francisco, most recently at the Creative Arts Charter School. Raymond holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Liberal Studies (California State University, Hayward). Additionally, he has obtained three California teaching credentials from San Francisco State University: multiple elementary subjects, supplementary authorization in English and single subject in Art. He also has a CLAD certification with the multiple subjects credential. Raymond included a strong integration of art into the classroom curricula and has provided leadership for numerous across-the-grades art projects at his various school sites. Raymond loves living in San Francisco with all of the diversity it offers, from art to restaurants to architecture. “The best part is there’s always something to do or you can be happy doing nothing at all.” During his spare time he spends time with his 1 year old daughter and wife. Additionally, he creates new paintings in his art studio for shows in various locations.
