Monday

Complete the handout.  Keep your word list in your binder or folder.

Tuesday

On a piece of lined paper, sort the words in a way that makes sense to you.   Write 1-2 sentences explaining why you sorted them that way.

Wednesday

Look up the assigned word in the dictionary.  Write down the part of speech and the definition.  Find a synonym for the word.  Use the word in a chunky sentence, and draw a picture.

(If you cannot find a word in your dictionary, you may look it up online at www.dictionary.com)

Thursday

Use at least 10 spelling words.  Write a song using your words.  Your song must have correct punctuation, capitalization, and be written in complete sentences.  Skip lines and WRITE NEATLY! You must sing it on Friday.

OR

Pick 10 spelling words.  Design a crossword puzzle using the words.  (You may use a crossword puzzle maker from the Internet)  Write clues so that Ms. Carli or Ms. Scott can solve it.

OR

Pick 10 spelling words.  Write 10 chunky sentences using each spelling word.  Please skip lines between sentences and WRITE NEATLY!
