President’s Welcome

Welcome to the Carey School Parents Association (CSPA). The CSPA is comprised of a remarkable group of hardworking and enthusiastic parents who are committed to supporting the staff and administration of The Carey School in ensuring an extraordinary elementary school experience for their children. The key to the CSPA’s success is the volunteerism of the incredible parent community. Opportunities for involvement are extensive and include classroom activities, teacher appreciation events, parent education, fundraisers, community service and social events, and schoolwide celebrations of art, science and literature. Many parents find that being an active member of the Carey community is a rewarding and enriching experience for themselves and their children.

The mission of the CSPA is to build community and to raise funds to benefit our children. Our two major fundraisers are Walkfest held in the fall and the Auction in the spring. Both events are highly anticipated and enjoyed by all. Proceeds from these events fund an annual project identified by the school’s leadership and the CSPA at the beginning of the year.

The parent community’s primary communication vehicles are weekly emails and the school’s online calendar accessed from the home page. Additionally, the CSPA holds four meetings throughout the school year. Finally, this section of the website provides information about the numerous CSPA committees and their functions, parent education opportunities, community service and event announcements, room parent resources, CSPA forms and links to fundraiser event sites. We encourage you to utilize these important resources to stay informed and connected to the school.
