Thank you for your interest in The Carey School. Our faculty, staff, parents, and students are excited for you to learn more about our dynamic and welcoming school community. We are equally excited to learn about you and your goals for your child’s educational journey.
Our goal in Admission is to create a diverse community of curious, confident, and joyful learners who will both flourish in and enrich the Carey experience. This includes students with a range of interests, personalities, and experiences. Therefore, during our admission process, we seek to learn about the whole child from a variety of sources – the online application, parent interview, feedback from the student’s previous teacher, and observation of the student during one of our visit days.
Year after year, this thoughtful process results in a vibrant, mutually supportive community where students have the confidence to take risks and be themselves, and where teachers, staff, and parents become invaluable partners in helping children reach their fullest potential. Join us on campus for a school tour and experience Carey for yourself. Visit our How to Apply and Get Started-Register for a Tour pages to learn more. We can't wait to meet you!
The admission season for the 2020-21 school year is going to be different due to the circumstances of COVID-19. Our highest priority is the health, safety, and social-emotional well-being of our students, families, faculty, staff, and prospective families. All our decisions are built on this, including our commitment to remaining flexible and responsive to our community’s needs as circumstances and recommendations change. We look forward to partnering with you on your journey to find the best educational path for your student. We know this is an uncertain and unsettling time in all our lives. Our goal for this admission season is to provide you a safe and personalized experience in learning more about The Carey School and all that we have to offer your child and family.
