• Let’s Play, Let’s Code, Let’s Dance: $575 per session. Lunch included ($460 for Session 2)

• Let’s Lead: $375 per session. Lunch included ($300 for Session 2)

• Afternoon Extended Care: $50 per week

• Camp sessions may be canceled on or before June 1, 2023 for a 50% refund of the registration fee, less a $15 processing fee.
• We cannot issue refunds for cancellations after June 1, 2023.

Join us at Camp Carey - Let’s Code, where every camper is a coder! If your camper has a fascination with technology, computers, and coding, Let's Code is a program they will love. During this camp, your child will learn coding using the Tynker platform from computer science educators. This camp has lessons that are perfect for all levels - beginners, intermediates, and experts! Coding participants will also take part in various camp-wide events and games throughout the week. Our coding curriculum builds on previous lessons and levels, so coders are encouraged to return for multiple sessions.

Join us at Camp Carey - Let’s Dance, Carey’s premier dance camp! If your camper has a passion for dance, or is looking to give it a try, Let's Dance is just the program you have been looking for. During this dance-tastic week, your child will learn a full dance routine to perform at our Friday Funday assembly. Dancers will explore a range of dance styles and techniques, music and movements, choreography and creative expression.  Dance participants will also take part in various camp-wide events and games throughout the week. New dance routines will be taught each week, so dancers can enjoy this camp again and again!

• Grades: Rising Grades 6 - 9

Join us at Camp Carey - Let’s Lead, Carey’s Counselor in Training (CIT) Program. In this program, participants will learn transferable skills such as how to be clear and confident communicators, capable and hard working leaders, and masters of social emotional intelligence. CITs will spend their week developing real-world skills and gaining hands-on experience with all things summer camp. CITs will be mentored by Camp Carey experts so that they feel confident engaging with campers, assisting instructors, and designing and leading their own activities. Join us at Camp Carey - Let’s Play where we believe play is the best teacher! At Let’s Play, we provide play-based lessons and activities that educate, while still being ridiculously fun. A week at Let’s Play includes STEM and art projects, endless games, camp songs, and outdoor adventures. Each week culminates with our Friday Funday assembly, where campers will showcase what they’ve learned, enjoy silly competitions and improv shows, and participate in a camp-wide celebration! Each week of camp offers a new and interesting theme that keeps campers engaged and excited for the next!

• Themes:

Session 1: A Bug's Life

Beetles, bees, and butterflies! This week we will adventure into the creepy, crawly world of insects. From grasshoppers to caterpillars, all bugs play a vital role in our environment. Join us to learn about the extraordinary critters that wiggle in the dirt, crawl on plants, and fly through the air. We’ll have fun exploring insects through bug-tastic projects and play. Campers will even have the chance to interact with a variety of live bugs during a visit from the Insect Discovery Lab!

Session 2: Animal Explorers

​​​​​Calling all animal lovers! In this zoology-inspired week, we’ll discover animals both familiar and exotic, local and global. Campers will explore habitat, food chains, life cycles, adaptations and more, through a variety of hands-on projects and games. Campers will be flying high after a presentation from the animal ambassadors at Happy Birds, the interactive parrot show. If you’re curious about creatures, we invite you to swim, scamper, or slither to Camp Carey for this wild week! PLEASE NOTE: Camp will be closed on Tuesday, July 4. 

Session 3: Carey Circus

Come one, come all to the Carey Circus! Get ready to laugh and play your way through this silly circus week. Campers will be introduced to various circus skills like tumbling, balancing, juggling, clowning, magic, and mime. We will also have a visit from the professional performers at Circus Bella! Whether you’re a ringmaster or an acrobat, this week is guaranteed to delight and intrigue. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself wanting to run away and join the circus!

Session 4: Going Green

Join us for a “green” week of hands-on games and activities as we dig into sustainability. Campers will learn about environmental stewardship and the various ways that they can minimize their impact on our planet. We will have a visit from the Try It Truck, Bay Area Discovery Museum’s engineering lab on wheels, where campers will have the opportunity to design and test their way through STEM challenges using simple recycled materials. Whether you’re an expert environmentalist or still growing your knowledge, let’s go green together!  

Session 5: Food Frenzy

Who says you shouldn’t play with your food? In this camp, we will learn about food science and nutrition as we chop, cook, and taste our way through food-themed projects and activities. Bring your appetite to Camp Carey for this mouthwatering week of sweet and savory fun. Campers will enjoy a cooking class with special guests, Rainbow Chefs, who will teach us all about happy, healthy eating! There is much to discover in the Camp Carey kitchen, so expect a few yummy surprises along the way. 

Session 6: Enchanted Forest

Wander into Camp Carey’s Enchanted Forest… This week is all about the magical, whimsical, and wondrous! We’ll create castles fit for kings, potions perfect for princesses, and encounter dragons, fairies, and wizards too! Campers will take a field trip to CuriOdyssey to learn about the real-world magic all around us. Afterwards, we’ll stop at the Magic Mountain Playground to explore the castle-and-dragon-themed structure. With a little imagination, campers will be transported into their very own fairytale.

Session 7: Time Travel

Do you believe in time travel? This week Camp Carey will go on a trip through the ages. But first, we’ll need some help building our time machine! Once it’s ready, campers will roam with the dinosaurs, scale the pyramids of Ancient Egypt, sculpt like Renaissance artists, traverse the Wild West of the pioneers, and even journey to space - the final frontier! If you’re curious about time travel, or just want to squeeze 100 million years of history into one week, join us for this epic adventure! 

Morning Extended Care will be available from 8:00-9:00 a.m, at no additional charge. Afternoon Extended Care will be available from 3:30-5:00 p.m. for an additional $50 per week per child. Parents will have the option to add afternoon Extended Care to their child’s camp plans at registration. 

PLEASE NOTE: Late pick-ups after 3:30 p.m. will result in enrollment in afternoon Extended Care, which will be billed at $50 per week.

Extended Care will consist of indoor and outdoor free choice activities, with optional structured group games when numbers allow.
