Annual Fund

The Carey Fund

Our Fund to Live By

Tuition is enough to make our school good. However, it is the support from our entire community that helps make the school a place where students are exploring new ideas, challenging themselves, collaborating in creative ways and demonstrating emotional intelligence that will benefit them throughout their lives.  The Carey Fund plays a huge role in helping to make our school great.

As is the tradition in most independent schools, Carey sets tuition to cover only about 90% of our operating budget. This allows the entire community to come together to fill the gap – and then some.

We do this through The Carey Fund. It allows us to go above and beyond what the general operating budget would allow in three key areas: academic initiatives, faculty support, and endowment.

Enriching the Student Experience

Our annual giving program has allowed us to test and launch signature Carey features, such as our Thinkering Lab, math specialist, student support services, and Social Emotional Learning program. It also supports the rich professional development opportunities that keep our teachers at the leading edge of their fields. The Carey Fund provides resources that truly set our school apart.

Every Gift Matters

We are fortunate at Carey to enjoy a culture of financial giving that has helped our school grow and flourish year after year. Our goal this year is to raise $675,000, while maintaining our tradition of 100% participation by parents, faculty, staff, and the Board of Trustees – and increasing participation by alumni, alumni parents, and grandparents. We hope you will join us. We appreciate each and every gift at a level that is meaningful to you.
