Dear Parent/Guardian:
Never before has this quote been more appropriate. Where will reading take you this summer? The Serengeti, Paris, or perhaps Narnia? We truly can go anywhere through the pages of a book. As we head off into a very different summer than many of us imagined, I hope that reading is still part of whatever your plans may be. Books are a reliable outlet for our curiosity, our desire for adventure, escape, human connection, and sometimes, just a good laugh.
Below you will find my tips for fostering a summer of reading, including a Weekly Goal Tracker, for those who find that helpful. We also have a link to our Carey Digital Library and recommended books from the collection, in case you're wondering what to read next.
I truly wish you all a healthy and relaxing summer.
Warmly,
Ms. de Sousa
