A Vibrant Place to Learn and Grow
What’s a day like at Carey? Students often RUN into school to find out. Passionate teachers, great learning spaces, and thoughtful, developmentally appropriate programs make Carey a vibrant place to learn and grow.
A “Second Home”
Since our founding by the Carey family in 1928, students have told us that Carey feels like a second home. We know children learn best when they are happy, feel supported, and can be themselves. That’s why we work hard to create an environment that is nurturing, challenging, inclusive, and fun.
When Carey students are not engaged in a lesson, you can find them giggling over morning snack, nestled around a favorite book, building forts or playing make-believe in the garden, or letting loose at the recess “game of the week.” Through a comforting, joyful environment, we help students stay ready to learn.
Most of us have imagined what we could accomplish with just a few more hours in the day. At Carey, our innovative approach helps us balance student schedules, providing the ideal mix of core homeroom learning, targeted specialist content, and play.
Students meet every day in their homerooms for language arts, social studies, and math. They then rotate through specialist classes in science, world language, library, PE, music, art, and thinkering.
